Craft Paint Organization

I've just recently (basically since Jon and I moved in together in July) started doing more crafts and such, which means that my craft supply is growing.

Where this once worked as a pretty rainbow paint storage, the paints were becoming too numerous and it didn't look quite as nice anymore.

I had an extra plastic tub, so I decided to start storing them in there, right underneath the desk for easy access. The only problem was that I couldn't tell which color was which from the top. There were just a bunch of white or gold lids. Not very functional when I'm trying to quickly browse.

To fix this problem, I simply painted the color of each paint right on the lid. That way, at a glance, I can see which colors I have and grab the color I want to use. Easy peasy!

What are some simple ways you've made your storage easier for you to find things?

  3. Such a smart idea! I am all about organization so this is definitely getting catalogued in the must do file when Reagan has too many paints! Which I am sure is coming soon!

  12. I just found your blog...so fun! I store my paints upside-down in the box, that way I can see the color and when I am ready to use, the paint is on the top of the bottle! Win-WIN!
